Children’s Ministry Purpose Statement
The Children’s Ministry at FPC Monterey nurtures children’s spiritual development through ongoing programs and special activities that:
•Increase children’s biblical literacy
•Foster development of a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ for each child
•Promote a positive awareness and sense of belonging to the community of Christian believers
When you want your young ones to enjoy learning about the Bible, bring them to our Lighthouse Sunday School Program, where they’ll experience biblical themes presented over several weeks in different workshops such as art, drama, storytelling, games, video, and puppetry. Our Lighthouse Program is offered at the 10:30 service only.
Workshops are appropriate by age group:
- 3- and 4-year olds
- Kindergarten and 1st Graders
- Second and Third Graders
- Fourth and Fifth Graders
Children are cherished in our Nursery through Toddler (to age 3) during the 9:00 am and 10:30am Worship Services and we love having kids in worship too.
