Children’s Ministry at FPC Monterey nurtures children’s spiritual development through ongoing programs and special activities that:
- Increase children’s knowledge of the Bible
- Foster development of a meaningful spiritual identity for each child
- Promote a positive awareness and sense of belonging to the community of Christian believers.

Children learn to worship
We welcome families with children in worship and are not bothered by the noise or activity of young children. We also have a moment for children during worship when children (and parents) are invited to join us near the chancel for a short children’s sermon.

Each Sunday, children are invited to join their friends to learn about the Bible and to create and play together.

WHIRL provides a curriculum based on scripture verses that connect with those used in worship each week. It includes delightful videos that help children learn Bible principles, a healthy dose of fun to help our children connect with the Bible story, and suggestions for family exploration that supports each week’s lesson.
First Fridays
There are lots of opportunities throughout the year for families with children to join with other families in fellowship. Each first Friday of the month families are invited to the church campus for a meal and casual gathering.
